Black Therapists in AZ (BTAZ) is excited to host its 5th annual community event, entitled Rooted in Resilience. This free event focuses on mental health awareness and wellness for Black communities throughout Arizona.
This unique gathering offers an opportunity to meet Black mental health professionals and gain practical insights to manage stress and anxiety in difficult times.
Meet Mental Health Experts from across the Valley throughout the day.
12:00 – 12:30 p.m.: The Cost Of Strength: How Chronic Stress Impacts Black Bodies — Explore the connection between chronic stress, trauma, and physical health within Black communities.
1:00 – 1:30 p.m.: Leading While Healing: Leadership, Advocacy, & Mental Wellness — Hear from entrepreneurs, educators, clinicians, advocates, and community leaders as they discuss the emotional weight of leading while serving others.
1:45 – 2:30 p.m.: Unlearning Survival Mode: Black Men & Emotional Freedom — This powerful conversation will center the experiences of Black men navigating stress, vulnerability, identity, and emotional wellness.
