Research Study Seeks African American Input on Historical Trauma and Perception of Police
Michelle Lopez, a student at National University, is working on her dissertation for a doctoral degree in Psychology: Trauma and Disaster Relief.
Her dissertation will be a correlational study on African American Historical Trauma and Perception of Police.
As an initial study on this topic, Lopez is choosing to look specifically at the African American community as the research shows this community is statistically more likely to experience police brutality.
The study is an anonymous online survey that takes about 15-20 minutes to complete.
The survey includes an eligibility/demographic survey, the African American Historical Trauma Questionnaire (AAHT) and the Perceptions of Police Survey (POPs).
