Channel Powe Announces Candidacy for Arizona Democratic Party Chair
Channel Powe has officially announced her candidacy for Arizona Democratic Party Chair. With a proven track record of organizing at the local, state, and national levels, Powe aims to bring bold, inclusive leadership to strengthen the Party’s infrastructure, culture, expand voter engagement, and win critical races in 2026 and beyond.
Powe is known for leading major campaigns such as The Betrayal, and Deliver for Voting Rights, and for her instrumental role in advocating for the Tempe flavored tobacco ordinance. She has worked extensively to build coalitions that empower underrepresented communities and mobilize voters.
Powe is also known as a prominent political activist, former elected school board member, 2016 DNC Party Leader Elected Official Delegate, former Maricopa County Democratic Party Sergeant-At-Arms and as a community leader.
“Arizona needs a Chair who will unite and re-energize our base, invest in grassroots power, and ensure our Party is prepared to meet the moment,” said Powe. “My candidacy is about building a strong, year-round presence that reflects the values of the Democratic Party and needs of all Arizonans.”
