Education Leader, Advocate Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong Announces Candidacy for State Legislature in LD13
Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong, an Assistant Professor at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University, is announcing her candidacy for the Arizona State House in Legislative District 13 (LD13) to represent Chandler, Gilbert, and Sun Lakes. Dr. Armstrong formerly served as a teacher and school administrator for nearly two decades, deepening her understanding and knowledge of our schools’ funding crisis and how it affects our students and their outcomes.
“As a former teacher and school administrator, I’ve seen firsthand that education is one of the most powerful tools we have to build stronger communities and brighter futures. Now, as a professor at ASU with over a decade of experience helping students build a better future for themselves, I’m bringing that same approach to the legislature, helping us build a better Arizona that works for everyone,” said Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong.
“I’ll work to improve our schools, protect our water supply, support our businesses, and keep housing costs down. It’s time for independent, accountable leadership that puts people first.”
