Get out of the heat and step back into the kitchen! After a powerful full production this January that left audiences wanting more, the original cast of Stew reunites for a special one-night-only staged reading.
Written by acclaimed playwright Zora Howard, Stew is a layered and emotionally charged story exploring family, memory, survival, and the unspoken ingredients passed down through generations of Black women.
Performed by members of the original Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective cast, this intimate reading offers audiences another chance to gather around the kitchen table and experience the heart of a play that resonated deeply with the Phoenix theatre community.
The reading runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Guests should allow up to two hours total for seating and post-show gathering.
