The purpose of this summer program is to increase students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math (STEAM), to promote education and careers in STEM. The program gives under-represented and under-served middle and high school girls ages 13-18 the opportunity to intersect STEAM with Global Citizenship for exploring and expressing digital experiences for gaining connection with the people who benefit from STEAM innovations in our world. The STEAM and Global Citizenship Mentoring Program: 101 Summer Camp is being offered FREE of charge to students. Thanks to our sponsors and facility host.
Areas of focus are “Storytelling, Comics, Virtual Reality and Game Development.”
Young ladies will gain relevant curriculum, thematic problem-solving exercises, mentor-models, computer coding, and other digital forms instructions, hands-on, and practical lessons and activities for contextualizing STEAM in the globe.
