Shawn E. Gear Elected President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Beta Omega Chapter

PHOENIX – The members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Beta Omega Chapter elected Shawn E. Gear to be their new President.

Gear, the former first Vice-President and Programs Chair for the last three terms, ran unopposed and will begin her two-year term effective January 1st. She replaces Dr. Eula Saxon Dean.

Under Gear’s leadership, Delta Beta Omega will ‘Gear Up for Excellence’ as they provide a unique, high impact, and hands-on service programs within the Greater Phoenix metropolitan community.

“I am humbled and excited by the opportunity to lead Delta Beta Omega Chapter. Our membership includes distinguished women who boast excellent academic records, proven leadership skills, and involvement in our local communities through advocacy and service.” said Gear.
